Delivery Policy

NOLA Sand & Gravel provides delivery-only service for bulk materials including dirt, sand, gravel, rock, and related aggregates throughout the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding regions.

This Delivery Policy explains how deliveries are scheduled, what customers are responsible for, and what to expect when ordering bulk materials.

Bulk Material Delivery Overview

All materials are delivered by dump truck and unloaded at ground level. Materials are dumped in one location unless otherwise approved in advance.

Because bulk materials are heavy and delivery requires specialized equipment, site conditions, access, weather, and logistics all affect delivery timing and placement.

Delivery Scheduling & Timing

When you place an order, we make every reasonable effort to schedule delivery as close as possible to your requested timeframe. However, delivery dates and times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery schedules may be affected by:

• Weather conditions
• Traffic delays
• Truck or equipment issues
• Supplier availability
• Job site access restrictions
• High seasonal demand

All orders are processed in the order they are received.

Current logistics conditions require that all orders have flexible delivery windows. We cannot guarantee specific delivery dates or delivery times.

We are not responsible for additional labor costs, standby time, equipment rental, or project delays caused by late or rescheduled deliveries. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant delays when possible.

Weather & Site Conditions

Inclement weather, including heavy rain, flooding, or unsafe ground conditions, may require deliveries to be delayed or rescheduled.

Heavy rain may result in:

• Unsafe dumping conditions
• Risk of trucks becoming stuck
• Damage to property or roadways

If weather conditions make delivery unsafe, orders will be rescheduled for the next available delivery window once conditions improve.

Delivery Access Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and legal access to the delivery location.

This includes:

• Adequate truck width and turning radius
• Sufficient overhead clearance (trees, power lines, structures)
• Firm ground capable of supporting heavy trucks
• Clear dumping area free of vehicles, debris, or obstructions

If the driver determines the site is unsafe or inaccessible, material will be dumped at the closest safe location or the delivery may be aborted. Failed delivery attempts due to access issues may still incur delivery charges.

Dump Location & Property Damage

Bulk materials are delivered by dump truck and unloaded in a single pile unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.

By ordering delivery, you acknowledge and accept that:

• Dump trucks are heavy and may cause ruts, cracks, or surface damage

NOLA Sand & Gravel is not responsible for damage to:

• Driveways
• Lawns
• Curbs
• Sidewalks
• Underground utilities
• Irrigation systems

If you request dumping in a specific location on your property, you assume all liability for property damage associated with that request.

Presence at Delivery Site

We do not require someone to be present at the delivery location at the time of delivery unless special instructions are required.

If you choose not to be present:

• The driver will dump material in the safest available location
• Placement decisions are final

Order Changes, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please order only when you are ready to receive material.

• Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of scheduling by speaking directly with a representative by phone
• Cancellations cannot be made via email, text, voicemail, or fax
• Once material is loaded or trucks are dispatched, orders cannot be canceled or rescheduled

No refunds or compensation will be provided for:

• Missed deliveries due to access issues
• Weather-related delays
• Scheduling changes beyond our control
• Customer unavailability

Final Sale & Material Responsibility

All bulk material sales are final.

Bulk materials:

• Are natural products and may vary in color, texture, moisture, and composition
• Cannot be returned
• Are not restockable

Customers are responsible for ordering the correct material type and quantity. Excess material is the responsibility of the customer once delivered.

Customer Conduct

Our phone lines and communication channels are used for order placement and customer service.

Harassing, threatening, disrespectful, or abusive behavior toward staff, drivers, or representatives will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service and reporting to appropriate authorities.
